Olympic bronze medallist Joannie Rochette is one of two figure skaters who will be inducted into Skate Canada's Hall of Fame.

The 31-year-old has been named in the class of 2017 alongside fellow Winter Olympian Jennifer Robinson.

Rochette won the bronze medal in the women's singles at Canada's home Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games.

It was seen as an iconic performance as her mother Thérèse died just two days before the start of the event.

A six-time Canadian champion, Rochette also won World Championship silver in 2009 in Los Angeles.

Two more silver medals were collected at the Four Continents Championships - for skaters from outside Europe.

These were won in Goyang in South Korea in 2008 and Vancouver in 2009.

In 2005, Rochette won bronze at the International Skating Union's Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in Beijing.

Forty-year-old Robinson is also a six-time Canadian champion.

She finished seventh at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City and earned three top-10 finishes at the World Championships. 

Skate Canada established its Hall of Fame in 1990.

Since then, 112 people have been inducted.
