In all, 146 teams have already been awarded cash this year after 8,500 refugees were aided during 2015-2016.

The NIF opted to set-up its Refugee Fund in 2015.

The latest round of funding will be issued next month and must be used by December.

Last year, the International Olympic Committee formed a refugee team which competed at the Rio 2016 Summer Games.
