World Championships bronze medallist Jasmin Taylor is among five athletes selected on the elite telemark squad for the upcoming season, British Ski and Snowboard has announced.
Taylor was the star British performer in the telemark discipline last season as she claimed bronze at the International Ski Federation (FIS) World Championships in La Plagne.
She also secured six FIS Telemark World Cup podium finishes and comes into the new campaign as the headline name in the British team.
Taylor is joined by Louis Hatchwell, Sion Bingham, Jasper Taylor and Alistair Cruz Mermy on the elite squad, who will compete at World Cup level.
James French, Fred Thomas, Ben Emsley, Alec Dixon, Colin Dixon, Ollie Wotton, Nick Henderson, Robbie Houstoun, Naila Cardwell and Tara Parks are in the group below and will participate in National Championships and other FIS sanctioned races.
Two junior athletes, Sissi Compton and Magnus McIntosh, feature in the last of the three groups.
They will looking to develop further their racing skills this season in order to compete alongside more experienced athletes.
"Following a successful 2016-2017 season, the team is looking forward to another busy season with World Cup races across Europe, Scandinavia and North America," British Telemark team selector Chris Wotton said.
"We also have some really exciting new talent coming up through the ranks who will be looking to gain more invaluable experience and FIS points competing on the French Cup circuit and at the British Championships in January."
The 2017-2018 telemark season begins with the opening World Cup event in Hintertux in Austria from December 1 to 3.
After this, the British team are then set to head to the second event of the campaign in Pralgnon-la-Vanoise in France on January 12 and 13.
The British Telemark Championships follow in the same resort before another four World Cups are due to take place.
The season concludes with World Cup Finals and the World Junior Championships in Mürren in Switzerland from March 19 to 25.
