Hosts Austria claimed two gold medals at the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) Junior Vaulting World Championships.

Nicole Brabec won the women's event at the Magna Racino in Ebreichsdrof as Anna Krippl and Viktoria Feldhofer teamed-up to take the pas de deux title.

Brabec starred on Royal Salut alongside lunger Manuela Barosch, scoring 7,990 points for gold.

Germany's Franziska Peitzmeier won silver on Dorian Grey SN, claiming 7,910 with lunger Anna Brinkmann to narrowly miss out on top spot.

Johanna Lindberg of Sweden rode Real Easy to bronze with lunger Dusan Barci, scoring 7,831points to claim a first-ever junior world medal for the country.

Krippl and Feldhofer were in outstanding form to win the first gold medal of the day.

Together with lunger Eva Maria Kreiner and horse Le Grand Chevalier they scored 7,938 points to the delight of the home crowd.

German Julian Kogl, the European champion last year, teamed-up with a new partner in Ronja Kahler to win the silver medal on Daytona.

Lunged by Lars Hansen, they scored 7,824 points for second place.

Americans Janie Salisbury and Bridget Kiernan, riding horse Diva 506 and lunged by Carolyn Bland, clinched the bronze medal on 7,750 points. 

In the men's event, Colombia's Juan Martin Clavijo defended his world title with a score of 8,889 points which would mount a challenge in the senior division.

He rode Quiece D’Obliche and was lunged by Sandra Tronchet.

Germany's Gregor Klehe, lunged by Alexander Hartl, clinched silver on Adlon with a score of 7,945 points. 

The bronze medal went to another German, Philipp Stippel, who scored 7,817 points with horse Sir Valentin 5 and lunger Dina Menke.

The Germans also claimed the team event, in front of Austria and Switzerland.

Senior events in the European Championships are due to be held tomorrow.
