India demolished New Zealand by 186 runs to claim the last semi-final spot available at the International Cricket Council Women's World Cup.

Three countries - hosts England, Australia and South Africa - had already booked their places in the last four heading into the final matches of round-robin play today.

Only India and New Zealand could join them and faced each other at the County Ground in Derby with the winners going through.

In the end the match was not a contest as the Kiwis were skittled for just 79 after India had posted 265-7 from their 50 overs.

New Zealand won the toss and elected to field but after two quick wickets reduced their opponents to 21-2, Indian skipper Mithali Raj took charge.

She blasted 109 from 123 deliveries, including 11 fours, as Veda Krishnamurthy and Harmanpreet Kaur provided support with knocks of 70 and 60 respectively.

In response, New Zealand collapsed spectacularly as slow-left arm bowler Rajeshwari Gayakwad starred with figures of 5-15.

England ensured that they topped the group by claiming a sixth win from seven on home soil.

They posted 220-7 against West Indies at the County Ground in Bristol before restricting their opponents to 128-9 to win by 92 runs.

Defending champions Australia finished on the same win-loss record as England and beat South Africa by 59 runs at the County Ground in Taunton.

South Africa, bowled out for 210 after Australia's 269, slipped to fourth in the table with India jumping above them to finish third.

Sri Lanka and Pakistan met at Grace Road in Leicester with both sides already out.

It was the former who edged home by 15 runs, posting 221-7 and then bowling out their opponents for 206.

England will now play South Africa in the first semi-final in Bristol on July 18.

Australia will meet India in Derby on July 20.

The final is scheduled for Lord's in London on July 23.
