The United States bagged another win at the Federation of International Lacrosse Women’s World Cup today as they continued their title defence.

Brooke Griffin scored four while Kelly Rabil and Alexandra Aust both netted a hat-tricks as the US defeated Australia 15-8 in their Group A clash at the Surrey Sports Park in Guildford, England.

Elsewhere in the group, the host nation got the better of Scotland with a 14-3 win while Canada were also victorious, beating Wales 10-6.

In Group B, the Haudenosaunee Native American also secured a second win of the tournament as they comfortably beat Hong Kong 11-4 and South Korea got over a loss yesterday to see off Switzerland 10-3.

Today’s proceedings got under way with a match between neighbouring European countries Belgium and The Netherlands.

It was the latter who came out on top 20-9.

The other game in Group C saw Israel win 16-8 against the Czech Republic.

The biggest win of the day came in Group D as Japan thrashed Latvia 22-0 with Tomomi Sato top scoring with four and Mai Kemmochi getting three goals.

In the same group, Germany also completed an easy win as they defeated Mexico 16-1.
