Tokyo 2020 has today welcomed Recruit Holdings, a global company in information services and human resources, as an official partner.

The company, founded in 1960, has been attributed the category "Human Resources and Online Study and Learning Services".

Its addition brings the total number of Tokyo 2020 domestic partners to 43, including 28 official partners.

"On this occasion, it gives me great pleasure to welcome Recruit Holdings as a Tokyo 2020 official partner," Tokyo 2020 President Yoshirō Mori said.

"Recruit places a premium on connecting with society, and providing a diverse range of employment opportunities for people while creating new value, and I am confident the company will make a significant contribution to the success of the Tokyo 2020 Games in the category of Human Resources and Online Study and Learning Services.

"I am also certain that the staff provided by Recruit will not only play a vital role in the successful delivery of the Tokyo 2020 Games, but will also contribute to the post-Games legacy of creating a society in which everyone is able to live life to the fullest."

The term of the agreement will run until December 31, 2020.

Recruit Holdings says it will support the efforts of the Japan Olympic and Paralympic teams, and contribute to the success of the Tokyo 2020 Games.

"We are extremely honoured to become an official partner of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in the category of Human Resources and Online Study and Learning Services," Masumi Minegishi, President, chief executive and representative director of Recruit Holdings, said.

"Taking advantage of the many years of experience and expertise we have built in the fields of human resources and education since the founding of our company in 1960, we hope to contribute to the success of the Tokyo 2020 Games by recruiting operational staff and assisting with training and education.

"At Recruit, our core belief is that people have limitless potential, and this will be our guiding principle as we exert our best efforts to ensuring the successful delivery of the Tokyo 2020 Games."

As a second-tier domestic sponsor, Recruit Holdings will have the rights to use Olympic and Paralympic designations and imagery including emblems, mascots and slogans.

The highest tier of domestic sponsors are Gold Partners, which so far includes the likes of Canon, Asahi, NEC and Fujitsu.

A third tier of official supporters is also in operation.
