Austria's Daniela Iraschko-Stolz has withdrawn from this weekend's International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Jumping World Cup Final in Oslo due to injury.

The Olympic silver medallist suffered a cartilage injury during training and has been forced to end her season prematurely.

It leaves a battle between Germany's world and Olympic champion Carina Vogt and Japan's World Cup winner Sara Takanashi on the famous Holmenkollen hill.

Takanashi will be seeking a repeat of her victory last year.

She leads the World Cup standings with 1,375 points ahead of team-mate Yuki Ito, with 1,108.

Iraschko-Stolz had sat in fifth place overall, with Vogt sixth.

Action in the women's event is scheduled for Sunday (March 12).

Men's qualification is due to begin tomorrow before normal and large hill finals over the weekend.

Unlike the women's event, the men's competition will not mark the last World Cup of the season.

Norway will play host to three more legs - in Lillehammer, Trondheim and Vikersund - before a final is due to take place in Planica in Slovenia from March 24 to 26.

Kamil Stock of Poland currently sits in the lead on 1,280 points, just 60 clear of Austrian Stefan Kraft.
