United States' teenager Colby Stevenson and Switzerland's Sarah Hoefflin each claimed slopestyle victories on the International Ski Federation (FIS) Freestyle World Cup circuit in Seiser Am today.

In a competition slightly weakened by the ongoing Winter X Games, Stevenson's solid first run score of 89.90 proved sufficient to take the title.

It marked a first World Cup podium finish for the 19-year-old after a previous best of 12th in Silvaplana last season.

Switzerland’s Colin Wili’s posted a score of 86.60 for second best.

Russell Henshaw of Australia was third with an 83.20.

Japanese 15-year-old qualifying leader Taisei Yamamoto finished down in 12th.

Hoefflin ensured Switzerland were able to go one better in the corresponding women's event when a strong performance received a score of 84.40.

Qualification leader Coline Ballet Baz of France took silver with a score of 81.00.

American Caroline Claire managed 76.40 for the final podium position.

The event is the first FIS Freestyle Slopestyle competition to be held in Seiser Alm.

The resort has previously staged Europa Cup and Junior World Championship competitions.
