Action continued today at the World Indoor Bowls Championships ©World Bowls Tour

Scotland's Paul Foster and home favourite Rebecca Field progressed to the final of the mixed pairs competition at the World Indoor Bowls Championships in England after coming though their last-four encounter today.

The duo overcame Scotland's David Gourlay and Australia's Karen Murphy 6-3, 3-8, 2-1 to set up a meeting on Tuesday (January 24) with England's Nick Brett and Scotland's Claire Johnston, who beat English pairing Greg Harlow and Amy Stanton 6-7, 8-6, 2-0. 

Earlier in the day at the Potters Leisure Resort in Hopton-on-Sea in Norfolk, Mervyn King beat Janice Gower 10-3, 9-7 in the singles competition.

Action is due to continue tomorrow, headlined by the pairs final between England's Les Gillett and Wales' Jason Greenslade and Welsh pairing Damian Doubler and Daniel Salmon.

Three singles matches are also scheduled, starting with an all-English clash featuring Gillett and Tom Warner.

Brett faces Ireland's Andrew Kyle, while Scotland's Alex Marshall goes up against Wales' Robert Chisholm.
