Macedonia and Iceland each progressed into the knockout rounds at the World Handball Championships in France today after drawing their final Group B clash.

Iceland held a narrow 15-13 lead at half-time at the Arenes de Metz.

They proved unable to open clear daylight, however, and ultimately had to settle for a 27-27 draw.

This proved from both teams to progress with hauls of five points, for Macedonia, and four for Iceland.

Tunisia also ended on four points but missed out on progressing due to their worse points difference.

Spain beat Slovenia 36-26 tonight in a top of the table clash which saw the two sides progress in first and second position.
