Nottingham’s Wildcats Arena will stage the second round of the British Wheelchair Basketball’s Women’s League this weekend.

Competition is due to take place between January 21 and 22 with 18 all-female teams due to take part in the event.

A total of 20 games are due to take place across the two days of the competition, with three courts due to be used.

The event will feature matches across the three divisions of women’s wheelchair basketball in the country, with Paralympians featuring in a number of teams.

It follows the first round of the series, which took place from November 12 to 13 last year.

The Angels of the North will field four teams at this weekend’s event, with their top team competing in Division One.

Among the other teams who are scheduled to compete are Coventry Team CWBA, GLL & Aspire London Titans and the Sheffield Steelers.

British Wheelchair Basketball believe the weekend offers the public with an ideal opportunity to watch world class competition, while also giving them an opportunity to test the sport.

A dedicated drop-in session will take place on Saturday (January 21) from between 12pm and 1.30pm.

The session is free and open to women of all abilities, the British Wheelchair Basketball have stated.
