Robert Rauch of the United States has been re-elected as President of the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) after running unopposed in the governing body's elections.

The WFDF Member Associations voted on open positions on the Board of Directors and on the Ultimate Committee to serve from January 1 through to December 31, 2018.

The 2016 Election was conducted on-line via a voting form with a total of 65 votes required for election.

Rauch was re-elected after receiving a total of 106 votes.

He was an active player from 1976 to 1994 and has served as President of the WFDF on two occasions initially from 1992 to 1994 and from 2011 to present.

As an athlete playing for teams in Chicago, Boston, and New York he won six US National Championships and five World Championships, and was elected to the Ultimate Hall of Fame in 2006.

“We are pleased to see the high calibre of our elected board be maintained in this latest election,” said Rauch.

“I am honoured to receive the support of our members and to receive their trust to serve another two year term as WFDF’s President.

"As does every International Sports Federation, we depend on the support of volunteers taking on roles and functions within our organisation on various levels.
