The Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) has honoured 20 taekwondo clubs which have excelled in this year’s "I Love Taekwondo" video contest.

The annual video competition, which was initiated by the GTF last year, gives all registered taekwondo clubs in the country a chance to submit a three-minute video based on the theme "How Taekwondo Changed My Life".

Videos showing a self-created taekwondo dance, also referred to as taekwondo aerobics, can also be entered.

According to Adnan Lamptey, the public relations officer of the GTF, 41 clubs participated in this year’s contest.

Twenty of these made it to through to compete for gold, silver and two bronze positions with a panel of judges then picking the winners.

All 20 clubs received 15 taekwondo uniforms each, while the first four clubs to be selected were given additional prizes, including protective gear, training equipment and manuals.

The overall winner received a coveted taekwondo mat for their club.

As part of the awards ceremony, the videos were played on a cinema screen.
