Tickets for the biggest ice hockey event in Britain for 25 years are due to go on sale tomorrow.

The World Championship Division 1B will be hosted by Ice Hockey UK next year for the first time since 1991 when the eventtakes place at The SSE Arena in Belfast from April 23 until 29. 

Tickets are due to go on sale 10am and fans are able to buy through various outlets, including Ticketmaster, from the Arena Box Office in person or by calling +44 28 9073 9074.

Britain will be joined by Japan, Netherlands, Lithuania, Croatia and Estonia.

Belfast was awarded the Championship by the International Ice Hockey Federation at its Congress in Moscow in May.

The arena in Belfast has a capacity of 7,200 and was opened back in 2000.

Britain has finished as runners-up in consecutive years of Division I Group B competition.

At this year's tournament in Zagreb, Britain missed out on promotion to Division I Group A when they lost 2-1 to Ukraine having gone into the match needing only a point to finish top.

Tickets for the event at The SSE Arena, the home of the Belfast Giants, include a "World Championship Pass" giving spectators to all 15 matches.

It costs £60 ($75/€70) for adults and £30 ($37/€35) for children.
