As part of a multi-year agreement, Thorne will work directly with USA Hockey nutritionists, coaches and staff to provide the highest standard of products available.

It will include their extensive line of National Science Foundation (NSF) certified for sport products.

"We’re excited about our new partnership with Thorne," said Dave Ogrean, USA Hockey executive director.

"Thorne brings valuable knowledge, insight and product support to all those who play our sport and we look forward to having access to their resources in helping continue to provide the most relevant education to our membership."

The partnership will also see Thorne become the official health and wellness sponsor of USA Hockey.

The National Federation revealed this will include players at all levels, coaches, officials and their national team development programme in Plymouth in Massachusetts.

It is the latest agreement struck by Thorne in recent months with National Federations in the United States, with USA Softball, USA Soccer and USA Taekwondo.

The company have 11 agreements in total with sports in the United States, including bobsleigh and skeleton, fencing, gymnastics, pentathlon, rowing, rugby, and triathlon.
