Denmark's Jeanette Ottesen claimed two gold medals on the second and final day of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) World Cup event in Singapore as Russia's Vladimir Morozov and Katinka Hosszú of Hungary were in dominant form once again.

Ottesen claimed her first gold in the women’s 100 metres freestyle event at the OCBC Aquatic Centre as the 28-year-old touched the wall in a time of 51.97sec.

Hosszú finished second in 52.42, just ahead of the United States' Kelsi Worrell in 52.46.

Ottesen doubled her tally for the day, winning the women's 50m butterfly, finishing in 25.11.

Worrell took second-place in 25.45 and Australia’s Emily Seebohm completed the top three with a time of 25.91.

Hosszú, winner of three gold medals yesterday, was in imperious form once again today as she won a total of five golds today.

The first arrived in the women's 100m backstroke, winning in 55.80.

Seebohm picked up the silver medal with a time of 56.08, followed by Ukraine’s Daryna Zevina in 56.87.

The Hungarian then added a second gold in the women’s 200m butterfly with a time of 2min 05.95sec.

Fellow Hungarian Zsuzsanna Jakabos claimed the silver medal with a 2:06.24 and Singapore’s Nicholle Toh took third in 2:11.26.

Hosszú picked up her third gold medal, coming from behind to win the women's 400m freestyle.

Another Hungarian, Boglarka Kapas, and China’s Dong Jie were in contention in the final 50 metres of the race but could not catch Hosszú, the winner in 4:01.18.

Kapas, the leader for most of the race, finished second in 4:01.38, while Dong settled for third in 4:02.34.

Hosszú was also forced to come from behind in the 100m individual medley to snatch victory from Seebohm, 58.45 to 58.54.

Jamaica’s Alia Atkinson finished third in 58.75.

Wrapping up another successful weekend, Hosszú's fifth and final gold medal of the session arrived in the 400m individual medley in 4:29.03.

Fellow Hungarians Jakabos and Kapas completed the podium with times of 4:32.53 and 4:37.51 respectively.

Morozov demonstrated his sprinting dominance once again, winning another two gold medals today.

The first was in the men’s 100m breaststroke, clocking 56.80.

Brazil’s Felipe Lima finished second in 57.16 and Germany’s Marco Koch rounded out the podium with 57.78.

The Russian then turned in the only time under 21 seconds in the 50m freestyle, touching the wall in 20.86, continuing his record of winning this race at all seven World Cup meetings.

South Africa's Chad le Clos finished just ahead of Japan’s Shinri Shioura, producing a time of 21.24 to Shioura’s 21.25.

Mykhailo Romanchuk of Ukraine set a World Cup record in the men’s 1500m freestyle.

Romanchuk swam 14:15.4 to beat the previous record of 14:27.65 set in 2013 by Italy’s Gregorio Paltrinieri.

Among today's other winners were Australia’s Kyle Chalmers, winner of the men’s 200m freestyle final in 1:42.67.

Atkinson took the gold in women’s 50m breaststroke with a time of 28.91 and America's Breeja Larson dominated the women’s 200m breaststroke to finish in 2:18.95.

In the final race of the day, Australia took the gold medal in the mixed 4x50m freestyle relay.

The team of Chalmers, Andrew Abood, Madeline Groves and Madison Wilson won in 1:31.04.

Russia took the silver medal, just under a second behind the Australians in 1:31.73, while the US rounded off the podium, swimming 1:35.30 to secure bronze.

Morozov now leads the men's overall standings on 514 points and Hosszú has a commanding lead in the women's standings, just under 600 points clear on 921.
