Women's number one seed Busanan Ongbumrungpan of Thailand convincingly beat Malaysia's Jin Wei Goh in the women's singles final of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) 2016 Indonesian Masters.

The 20-year-old is ranked 18th in the world but lived up to her number one seeding to take first place at the Grand Prix Gold event.

Ongbumrungpan, a double Southeast Asian Games gold medallist and Summer Youth Olympic Games bronze medallist at Nanjing 2014, eased past Goh 21-15, 21-13.

World junior champion Jin was vying for her second international title after winning at the Orleans International Championship in France, but could not overcome the top seed.

Huang Yuxiang of China was forced to retire in the men's singles final.

The 23-year-old, who shocked Hong Kong's number one seed Nan Wei in the semi-finals yesterday, was forced to concede victory to his compatriot Shi Yuqi 21-12, 11-0.

In the men's doubles final Indonesia's Kevin Sanj Sukamuljo and Wahyu Naya Arya Panka beat unseeded Chinese pair Han Chengkai and Zhou Haodong.

The Indonesia duo, who shocked the second seeds and compatriots Angga Pratama and Ricky Kara Suwardi yesterday, won in straight sets 21-16, 21-18.

The women's doubles final, contested between the competition's third and fourth seeds, was narrowly won by Chae Yoo Jung and Kim So Yeong of South Korea.

The fourth seeds beat Rawinda Prajongjai and Jongkolpha Kititharak of Thailand 21-18, 22-20.

Meanwhile, there was further home nation success in the mixed doubles final.

Second seeds, Indonesian duo Ronald Alexander and Melati Dae Oktavianti, beat third seeds Kian Meng Tan and Pei Jing Lai of Malaysia 21-16, 21-17.
