Russia's London 2012 Olympic silver medallist Dmitrii Ushakov is leading the entries for the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Trampoline World Cup beginning tomorrow in the Portuguese city of Coimbra.

It will mark the final major event ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Russia's Ushakov is one of the few leading Olympic qualfiers to be competing.

He will be seeking to hone his form in a bid to go one better and make the top step of the Olympic podium next month.

The 27-year-old was also an individual and synchro gold medal winner at the Baku 2015 European Games.

He will be joined by team-mate Sergei Azarian, as well as a powerful Chinese quartet of Zhang Zhengian, Hu Zichao, Liu Changxin and Zhou Jie.

French Olympian Sebastien Martiny should also figure highly.

Another Baku 2015 medal winner will lead the way in the women's competition in Belarus' Hanna Harchonak, who came third in the Azerbaijan capital.

She will be joined by team-mate Tatsiana Piatrenia, who will be looking to build her form ahead of a fourth Olympic Games.

Portugal's Ana Rente, another Rio-bound athlete, should lead the home charge.

Action will begin tomorrow with trampoline and tumbling preliminary action.

All finals will then take place on Saturday (July 9).
