South Korea downed Cuba 81-62 to move one game away from Rio 2016 qualification at the women's International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Olympic qualifying tournament in France.

All four countries involved today lost their quarter-final matches yesterday with the victors - France, Spain, Turkey and China - progressing automatically to Rio.

With five places at the Olympics available in all, however, the losers were still in with a chance via play-offs for the final Rio spot with two semi-finals contested today at Nantes' La Trocardiere.

The first quarter in the Korean success showed no sign of the margin of victory that followed with the Asian side edging it by just a single point, 21-20.
