Dmytro Ianchuk and Taras Mishchuk of Ukraine did enough to earn bronze.

Sergei Tarnovsky wasn’t finished there, however, as he clocked 1:50.003 to top the podium in the C1 500m event in front of home favourite Martin Fuksa, with Oleg rounding off the top three with bronze.

Denys Kamerylov, Vitaliy Vergeles, Eduard Shemetylo and Denys Kovalenko reigned supreme in the C4 men’s 200m with a time of 34.978sec to finish in front of Canada and the Czech Republic.
