Coxsey has been the dominant force in women’s bouldering competition in the early stages of the World Cup season, having won the opening events in Kazo and Meiringen.

She has since been able to add to those triumphs with victory in Chongqing and has now fended off competition in Innsbruck after topping the standings in both the semi-final and final.

Slovenia’s Janja Garnbret was the Briton’s closest challenger at the Olympiaworld arena, but was forced to settle for the silver medal.

The major surprise came when Kazakhstan's Rustam Gelmanov, winner of the Kazo World Cup event, and Chongqing silver medallist Jan Hojer of Germany, failed to qualify for the semi-finals.
