GB Taekwondo have signed a deal with Müller which will see the dairy company support preparations for the Rio 2016 Olympics.

The agreement gives Müller marketing and activation rights across its brands until the end of 2016, and will have particular emphasis on experiential events and activities for staff.

Events have already been held at GB Taekwondo's new National Centre in Manchester, while the country has gained four berths for Rio.

They will be hoping to build on their successes from their home London 2012 Games, when Jade Jones won under 57kg gold and Lutalo Muhammad clinched under 80kg bronze.

"We’re delighted to have Müller on board as an Official Partner and at such a key stage in own preparations for Rio 2016," said GB Taekwondo director Steve Flynn.

“To have the valued support of such a strong market-leading brand as Müller is testament to the progress that the sport has made here in the UK, in such a short space of time and the profile it now enjoys.

“Müller’s values, their ambition and commitment to delivering excellence matches our own at GB Taekwondo and we look forward to working together during what will be a very exciting year.”

Müller are already a partner of the British Olympic Association (BOA).

Michael Inpong, the company's chief marketing officer, said the company was "extremely proud" of the link-up with taekwondo.

"Working with GB Taekwondo is a natural fit for us," he said.

"Their core values around dedication and commitment to win and keep winning is very much in line with our Müller vision and mission.

“We are keen to work together and share learning and experiences in the run up to Rio 2016.

"We can’t wait to bring fantastic experience days to our hard working colleagues in partnership with GB Taekwondo and we wish them all the luck for this year’s Olympic Games in Rio 2016."
