The women’s line-up for the Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Series Finals has been confirmed today with Egypt’s Nour El Sherbini topping the 2015-2016 Road to Dubai final standings after winning the British Open in Hull earlier this week.

El Sherbini has been in supreme form throughout the season, adding the British Open title to the Tournament of Champions crown she won in January and runner-up finishes at the Qatar Classic and Windy City Open.

It means she pips England’s Laura Massaro, who has also claimed two titles - the US Open and Qatar Classic - to the summit of the rankings.

Eight-time world champion and two-time PSA World Series Finals winner Nicol David of Malaysia occupies third place.

The  world junior champion Nouran Gohar of Egypt confirmed her place among the top eight for the first time ever after reaching the British Open final.

Top ranked French player Camille Serme, former world number one Raneem El Welily of Egypt and 2010 World Championship runner-up Omneya Abdel Kawy, also of Egypt, find themselves in the eight as well.

The final berth is occupied by top-ranked American player Amanda Sobhy, who will become the first ever woman from her country to compete at the PSA World Series Finals.

The PSA World Series Finals are due to take place in Dubai from May 24 to 28 when the top eight players will come together in two groups of four.

Players will initially compete in a round-robin format for a place in the semi-finals.

An equivalent men's competition will also be held.
