They secured their ninth straight win by a 6-2 margin to set-up a final playoff against United States.

The US beat Japan 11-2 to seal second place in the group, with South Korea beating Turkey 9-6 after an extra end to secure third.

Sweden beat Russia by 9-5 and Hungary were 7-5 winners over Switzerland, who now finish sixth overall,

Sweden and Hungary will clash in a tie breaker tomorrow morning, with the winner facing South Korea in the sole semi-final.

The winner of that encounter will face the lose of the Canada versus US dual for the other berth in the final.

Japan have also been relegated as well as Scotland, with Russia and Turkey clashing in another playoff tomorrow, with the loser also moving down a division.

United States also enjoyed a superb day in the men's competition with a 7-4 win over Turkey followed by a 9-3 demolition of Switzerland.

This ensured they finished top of the group and they will now face Scotland in the final playoff.

Scotland bounced ban from a disappointing 10-4 loss to Switzerland to beat Denmark, 8-2.

The Swiss will face Canada in the third versus fourth playoff, with the Canadians beating Norway 4-3 and Russia 6-4 in two tight encounters today.

Norway, who beat Turkey by 11-4, finished fifth and Sweden sixth thanks to their 9-2 win over South Korea. 

Russia, Denmark and Turkey have all been relegated.
