The International Ski Federation has announced the Ski Cross World Cup in Arosa has been postponed due to weather conditions.

Competition had been expected to be held from February 5 to 6, but a lack of snow has prevented organisers from preparing the course in the Swiss resort.

The event has now been rescheduled to be held on March 4, although it will become a Ski Cross sprint competition.

Unseasonably warm weather has continued to disrupt the Ski Cross World Cup calendar, with two races scheduled for Watles on January 9 and 10 having to be postponed following high temperatures.

However, the rearranged competition was able to go ahead on January 16 and 17.

Olympic champion Jean-Frederic Chapuis of France and Switzerland’s Jonas Lenherr emerged as the winners of the men’s races.

Sweden’s Anna Holmlund and Canada’s Marielle Thompson won the women’s race across the two days.
