SPORTEL have revealed 99 per cent of the exhibition at their convention in Monte Carlo, Monaco in October has been booked, with more than1,200 participants already signed up for the event.

The 2015 SPORTEL convention is due to take place at the Grimaldi Forum from October 12 to 15 and general manager Amparo Di Fede is expecting another successful edition of the conference, which attracts top level executives from around the world.

"SPORTELMonaco 2015 sounds to be a promising edition," he said.

"Only three remaining stands are available and so far, over 1,216 participants from the sports marketing and media elite have already registered."

SPORTEL have also announced The Golden Podium Competition and the Sports Book Prize have started to select the greatest sports footage and illustrated sport books from the past year ahead of the awards ceremony, which takes place on October 13 as part of the convention.

A host of top sporting names are expected to be in attendance for the awards, as is International Olympic Committee members Prince Albert of Monaco.

Governing bodies such as FIFA, the International Basketball Federation, the International Equestrian Federation and the International Judo Federation have already confirmed their participation at SPORTELMonaco.

Media organisations including Bein Sports, Canal Plus, ESPN, Fox Sports and Twitter have also signed up for the event.

SPORTEL conventions are considered the most important for sports business people and allow for some of the industry’s most important figureheads to network and discuss business plans.

In 2014, SPORTELMonaco featured 2,613 participants representing 961 companies from 78 countries.
