International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board member CK Wu was a speaker at a special conference held by the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee (CTOC) to examine how outcomes from the Agenda 2020 reform process will affect their work.

Consisting of lectures and panel discussions, the “National Conference on Innovation and Prospects of the Olympic Agenda 2020” aimed at exploring the IOC’s new policies and latest Olympic Movement approaches following the unanimous acceptance of the 40 recommendations at December's IOC Session in Monte Carlo.

Wu, the Taiwanese official who also leads the International Boxing Association, spoke on behalf of IOC President Thomas Bach when delivering an opening speech, entitled: “The origin and concept of Olympic Agenda 2020”. 

Other lectures followed on issues spanning "IOC’s Transformation - Agenda 2020", "Good Governance and Olympic Agenda 2020 - Theory and Practice", and "Olympic Agenda 2020 - Protect Clean Athletes".

Proceedings then concluded with a panel discussion chaired by National Taiwan Sport University President, Kao Chun-hsiung.

An audience of around 80 people attended the event, including members and Executive Board members of the CTOC and representatives from national sporting federations and authorities, as well as experts, scholars and students conducting Olympic-related research.
