Baku 2015 have launched a Spectator Information Centre which will aim to help provide valuable and up to date information for people who wish to be part of the inaugural European Games in the Azerbaijani capital.
Approximately 20 operators will provide information on the Games in both Azerbaijani and English, such as transportation, venues, sports, competition schedule and ceremonies of the Games.
Additionally the operators will be able to provide information on how to buy tickets, while informing spectators on ticket prices, sales locations and opening hours.
More than 650,000 tickets will be available at the Games, with children and teenagers under 16 benefiting from complimentary admission to most venues when accompanied by an adult who is in possession of identification and a valid ticket for the session.
The information centre will also be able to provide information regarding the "Lucky Winner" campaign, in which Azerbaijani residents who purchase tickets online will be entered into a draw, with the potential to win prizes.
As a well-known presenter of Azerbaijani television shows and an actor and comedian, Baku 2015 Celebrity Ambassador Murad Dadashov will welcome callers to the line.
The Information Centre can be accessed by dialing 2015 from Azercell, Bakcell and Azerfon gsm operators and Btrib and Aztelekom landline operators, who cover more than 90 per cent of subscribers in Azerbaijan.
International visitors who wish to gather information prior to travelling to the European Games will be able to call the centre by dialing +994 77 2015 000 but will be subject to the international charges of the dialing country.
The inaugural European Games are set to take place in Baku from June 12 to 28, with around 6,000 athletes from across Europe due to compete at the Games.
Spectators will be able to view athletes competing in 20 sports, with 12 of the 16 Olympic sports set to offer qualification opportunities for the Rio 2016 Olympics.
