The fundraising event, organised by DSUK along with real estate company Delancey, will see Middleton and a host of Paralympic champions celebrate the achievements of Great Britain's Disabled Snowsports team in the company of snowsport enthusiasts at a glitzy ceremony at the The Cumberland in London.

The ParaSnowBall is the first step in an important week for the GB team ahead of the British National Alpine Ski Championships, due to start on Sunday (March 22) and run through to March 29, and the BRITS, a winter festival with ski and snowboard competitions as well as music and partying, in Tignes this coming weekend.

"I am honoured to be supporting Disability SnowSport UK and, as a keen skier myself, I feel very passionately about enabling those with a disability to experience the joy of skiing alongside non-disabled people," Middleton said.

"The ParaSnowBall sponsored by Delancey will be an inspirational celebration of Paralympians as well as raising funds to enable snowsports to be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of their disability."

The ParaSnowBall event is aimed at promoting the sport throughout the UK and is expected to be attended by a host of Paralympic stars ©DSUK



It is hoped that the association between Middleton, who began receiving media attention after her appearance at her sister's wedding to Prince William in 2011, with the charity will help drive enthusiasm and support for disability snowsport in the UK, particularly at youth level.

"We are proud to have the support of Pippa Middleton for our worthwhile cause," DSUK chief executive Fiona Young added.

"We are enormously excited to announce the launch of our ParaSnowBall and the great platform it will be for Disability Snowsport UK.

"Our long term vision is that this will grow into a signature, annual event which will guarantee a high level of income to support our ongoing initiatives as well as fund new projects."

DSUK is a charity which has been going for over 30 years and is aimed at getting people involved in the sport, regardless of disability.
