The dominant Kingsbury he finished on a total of 88.13 points, enough to beat American Jeremy Cota, who was second, and Alexandr Smyshlyaev, of Russia, rounded off the podium to take third.

The result saw the 22-year-old clinch his fourth straight moguls crystal globe, as well as his fourth overall freestyle title in a row on what was another memorable day for the Canadian youngster.

He can officially etch his name into freestyle skiing folklore if he can make it seven when the competition continues tomorrow.

"I just want to go out there and have some fun," Kingsbury said.

"But also, I'm chasing this seven-straight wins record, and it would be nice to have that, so we'll see."

The women's competition also went to form as American Hannah Kearney took her second win in a row, and her win also ensured a fourth consecutive podium finish.

Kearney led from the qualification stage right the way through to the finals as she stretched her advantage at the top of the overall leaderboard in commanding fashion.

The home crowd did have something to cheer as Japan's Junko Hoshino claimed the best result of her short career to date, while Canada's Audrey Robichaud marked her landmark 100th career World Cup appearance by finishing in third.

Kearney, winner of an Olympic gold medal at Vancouver 2010, now has a 114-point lead over one of the other stellar names in the sport and teammate, Justine Dufour-Lapointe, with sister Chloe seemingly out of contention in third.

The back-to-back weekend of fast-paced moguls competition is due to continue tomorrow with the dual moguls events.
