The competitions, which will take place on July 26, are set to feature Paralympic and World Championship medallists to allow those in attendance to witness a thrilling day of sport.

The International Paralympic Committee Athletics Grand Prix Final is also due to be held on National Paralympic Day, giving British athletes the chance to compete at the Olympic Stadium for the first time since the venue began its transformation.

The day will be a celebration of Paralympic sport at the venue that is largely credited with a surge in the increase of popularity of a range of different Paralympic disciplines since London 2012.

As well as the ticketed events, fans will get the opportunity to meet their Paralympic heroes and to try out disability sports for themselves, and the event attracted 30,000 passionate supporters last year.

"National Paralympic Day 2015 is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever before," BPA chief executive Tim Hollingsworth said.

"As the countdown continues to Rio 2016, we remain every bit as ambitious to maximise the momentum from our home Games in 2012.

"There is still a massive appetite for Paralympic sport after London and National Paralympic Day is important because it gives people the opportunity to come together to cheer on our athletes and celebrate what they love about the Paralympics.

"I'm confident that people will seize the opportunity to be part of this unique event and snap up tickets to enjoy an exciting day of action in Swimming and Athletics as well as celebrate in many other ways and in many different locations across the UK."
