Sochi 2014 gold medallist Lekomtcev secured his third win of the competition, finishing ahead of France's Benjamin Daviet in second and compatriot Ivan Kodlozerov in third, and in doing so pushed himself further out of reach in the overall World Cup rankings.

Rumyantseva was followed across the line by Japan's Yurika Abe and Canada's Brittany Hudak as the trio continued their podium dominance.

The United States also enjoyed success on two fronts, with Andrew Soule and Oksana Masters triumphing in the men's and women's sitting events respectively.

Soule fended off the challenge of Russian rival Alexey Bychenok to secure his fourth win and maintain his unbeaten record at the World Cup, while Norway's Steinar Trygve Larsen rounded off the podium.

Masters finished ahead of Norwegian Paralympic sprint champion Mariann Marthinsen, and Russia's Akzhana Abdikarimova in third.

Anthony Challencon and guide Lucas Dupperex came out on top in the men's visually impaired to sustain France's impressive form at both the World Cup and the recently concluded World Championships.

Norway's Eirik Bye, and guide KM Hellrud, took the silver medal with South Korea's Bogue Choi and guide Jeongryun Seo in third.

The action in Asahikawa concludes tomorrow with middle distance freestyle, before the IPC Nordic Skiing World Cup Finals are due to take place in Surnadal, Norway, from March 16 to 22.
