In the men's 5,000 metres relay, the Chinese dominated for the majority of the 45-lap race, eventually crossing the line in a total time of 6min 50.822sec, ahead of nearest challengers South Korea, while The Netherlands' third place saw them crowned overall winners.

The women's 3,000m race produced an almost identical result, although it proved to be a closer affair as China edged South Korea to claim their second victory of the campaign, and Canada came through to round off the podium.

The Koreans did have some success to celebrate though as Shim Suk-hee sealed the women's overall 1,000m title, despite not competing in the race in Turkey, which was won by Italian Arianna Fontana as she claimed her second gold medal of the weekend.

Fontana, who has been in excellent form of late, finished in 1:33.415 which proved enough to beat Japan's Yui Sakai and Kim Boutin of Canada.

Compatriot Sin Da-woon took the men's 1,000m honours as he powered round the track in a time of 1:25.311 on his way to his second win of the season, while Russian Victor An was second and Canada's Patrick Duffy third.

The result saw Semion Elistratov claim the overall title after he surged to the top of the leaderboard with victory on Saturday.

In the women's 500m, Kexin Fan of China showed her supremacy once again as she took her fifth win of the campaign.

Having already clinched the overall World Cup title for the distance at the last event in Dresden,, Fan proved too strong for the rest of the field, finishing in a time of 43.009 ahead of Russia's Sofia Prosvirnova and Great Britain's Elise Christie, winner of the 1,000m gold yesterday.

There was a shock result in the men's 500m as Hungary's Viktor Knoch ended his World Cup with his first success of the season, leading from the front from the start to seal a surprise win.

Dajing Wu of China was second and Canada's Charles Hamelin claimed the last podium spot by taking third.

For the world's best short track speed skaters, attention now turns to the upcoming ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships 2015 in Moscow, Russia, due to take place from March 13 to 15.
