Jabra recently introduced the Jabra sport pulse wireless, the first Dolby-enhanced wireless earbuds with a built in heart monitor, geared towards supplying athletes with superior sound quality for music and provide them with real-time in-ear coaching through integration with the Jabra sports Life app.

The Copenhagen-based company claim the product will prove to be a valuable training tool to help athletes "beat their best".

"Not only are Jabra's unique earbuds aptly designed for the active, early adaptive triathlon demographic, the company's message to improve your performance with hard work and preparation resonates strongly with ITU's core values," said ITU President Marisol Casado.

The seventh season of the ITU World Triathlon Series will see elite athletes taking part in ten first-class events, with the season set to begin in Abu Dhabi from March 6 to 7, the first time the series has held an event in the Middle East.

Each stop will feature elite races that offer Olympic qualifying points for Rio 2016, with competition broadcast internationally and streamed online, while mass participation races will also be held at each venue.

As global partners, Jabra will present at seven of the tens events, beginning at the season opener in Abu Dhabi, before stops on the Gold Coast, London, Hamburg, Stockholm, Edmonton and Chicago for the Grand Final.

The company will run a series-long competition, which will offer participants the opportunity to win a trip and entry into the next event on the calendar.

"We believe in inspiring and enabling everyone to go out and beat their best, whatever that may be, whether it's their first triathlon and the aim is just finish or to shave seconds off that personal best.

"We couldn't be more excited to be a partner for the 2015 series and further enhance our brand as a leader in sports audio solutions."

Javier Gómez of Spain is the current men's World Triathlon Series champions, while Gwen Jorgensen of the United States is holder of the women's title.
