Gwangju 2015 has signed an agreement with 56 hospitals and medical organisations to ensure athlete delegations have access to healthcare outside the Athletes' Village during the Summer Universiade.
Representatives from each of the organisations attended the signing, along with 50 medical professionals.
Also present was Taek-Rim Yoon, director of the Chonnam National University Hospital-based in Gwangju.
Yoon Jang-hyun, President of Gwangju 2015, stated that the partner hospitals and medical staff have a key role in helping the competitors to achieve their best.
"I would like to urge the designated hospitals to do their best to respond quickly and provide athletes with the best treatment they require," he said.
"In addition, I hope the World University Games can be an opportunity to show the world how advanced Gwangju medical services are."
The polyclinic in the Athletes' Village will also play a key part in keeping athletes healthy during the Games, which are scheduled to take place between July 3 and July 14.
