Shooting World Cup Finals in all three disciplines have been awarded for 2015 ©ISSFMunich will host next year's International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Final in rifle and pistol events on the same range used at the 1972 Olympic Games, while Cypriot capital Nicosia will host the shotgun season finale.

These two competitions, decided upon by the ISSF Executive Committee, will form the centrepiece of a World Cup series also featuring rifle and pistol stages in Munich, Bangkok and Granada, Spain, as well as shotgun competitions in San Marino and Baku.

It does however mark a change from the 2014 format where a combined World Cup Final for all three disciplines took place in October in Gabala, Azerbaijan.

A combined leg of the World Cup will also take place in 2015 in Rio de Janeiro, with the event doubling as a test event for the Olympic Games the following year.

The exact dates for all these events are currently being finalised and will be made public early next year, the ISSF explained.

The Executive Committee also reported "positive feedback" and reports on the ISSF Junior Cup held in Suhl, Germany, this year, and have decided to continue to "develop the Junior Cup competition concept".

This continues a busy period for the governing body, following the ISSF Congress in Munich earlier this month in which Moscow was awarded the 2017 World Shotgun Championships.

During the Congress, Mexico's Olegario Vazquez Raña also extended his 34-year tenure as ISSF President by defeating Kuwait's Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Homoud Al-Sabah in a fiercely contested election.

As exclusively revealed by insidethegames, Sheikh Salmon was accused of using his position as Kuwaiti Sports Minister to illegally urge countries into supporting his campaign, with the ISSF having begun a full investigation into the allegations.
