South Korea had competitors in each of the four wrestling gold medal finals this evening, in fact, with Lee Se-Yeol and Kim Yong-Min losing to Uzbekitan's Rustam Assakalovand Kazakhstan's Nurmakhan Tinaliev in the 85kg and 130kg categories respectively.

Following the controversy surrounding the boxing, where India and Mongolia lodged protests over the judges' decisions in their bouts against South Korean opponents, five-time world champion Mary Kom lifted gold for the Indian contingent as she beat Kazakhstan's Zhaina Shekrbekova in the women's flyweight division.

Earlier, Sarita Devi has refused to accept her bronze medal during a ceremony for the women's lightweight medallists, amid protests over the awarding of her semi-final bout to her South Korean opponent Jina Park.

The final two women's boxing events, lightweight and middleweight, were won by China's Yin Junhua and North Korea's Unhui Jang respectively.

More medal success was to come for South Korea in the hockey final as the host's women's contingent picked up gold for the first time since 1988, with the victory over China gaining them a berth at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
