Chong, a five-time Paralympic champion, will compete in the category B épée and foil events.

And she will come full circle when the event kicks off in the South Korean city, having made her international wheelchair fencing debut in the country at the Busan 2002 Asian Games.

"We have set our goal for the team events as the finals," said the 31-year-old.

"We will try our best to make that happen."

Hong Kong's team also includes seven-time Paralympic champion Yu Chui Yee.

Chong, winner of three gold and one silver medal at Athens 2004, two golds at Beijing 2008 and one silver at London 2012, added: "The competition level will be quite high, similar to a Paralympic Games even.

"There are some really strong fencers in my class, particularly from China and Thailand."

The Asian Para Games are due to be held in Incheon from October 18 to 24.
