Gwangju 2015 has set up a promotional house at the 2014 Asian Games in an effort to promote next year's Universiade ©Gwangju 2015Organisers of the Gwangju 2015 Summer Universiade have opened a promotional house at the Asian Games in Incheon in an effort to build momentum and excitement ahead of next year's event.

The facility is located outside of the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, home of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, as well as the athletics, and will function for the duration of the Games in an attempt to promote both the Universiade and the city of Gwangju.

The house contains information on all 70 competition and training venues set to be used in next year's Games, along with the Athletes' Village, the sports, the emblem and mascot, educational programmes and cultural events.

There are also various images of some of South Korea's most elite sports stars and celebrities, including three-time Asian rhythmic gymnastics champion Son Yeon-jae and K-pop star "Suzy", both of whom are promotional ambassadors for the Gwangju Universiade.

Visitors to the house also have the opportunity to have their photos taken with the images of London 2012 Olympic archery champion Ki Bo-bae, who is in Incheon commentating on the sport at the Asian Games, and South Korea's first ever Olympic gymnastics champion Yang Hak-sun.

In order to encourage visitors to the house, Gwangju 2015 is also providing various events outside the house such as free-throw competitions with the Universiade's official mascot, Nuribi, as well as archery shooting competitions.

The overall affect of the house it to give a boost to the excitement, anticipation and general knowledge of next year's Universiade.

This aim appears to have to been met with one local citizen who commented saying: "I found out that the Universiade will be held in Gwangju after visiting the Gwangju Universiade house.

"I hope the Games will be held successfully next year."
