Fiji has announced its team officials for the Port Moresby 2015 Pacific Games ©FASANOCFiji has revealed the names of its team officials for the Port Moresby 2015 Pacific Games.

The individuals were recommended by the Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC) Selection Justification Commission to the Executive Board after an interview process and were approved by the Board at its meeting earlier this month.

Among the team officials are former Fiji Olympian Albert Miller, Athletics Fiji official Litia Senibulu, former South Pacific Games gold medallist Jovesa Naivalu, former national basketball team member Laisiasa Paumau and Fiji Touch Rugby President Georgina LASAQA.

Beijing 2008 Olympian Josefa Vueti has also been recommended for weightlifting, as has Josephine Piukala for triathlon, Lucy Erasito for swimming, Fred Fatiaki for Parasports, Raymond Ravin Prasad for tennis and Fiji Taekwondo President Daniel Mosese.

FASANOC's Board of Management will now formally approve the selections at its December meeting and team Fiji's management will begin working with the nominated officials on their preparations for next year.

Fiji, which has set a budget of more than $2 million (£1.2 million/€1.5 million) to send its team to Port Moresby 2015, will compete across 28 sports at next year's Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea's capital from July 4 to 18.
