Pyeongchang 2018 today signed up the North Face as its official apparel supplier ©Pyeongchang 2018A day after announcing its first Tier One sponsor, Pyeongchang 2018 unveiled another sponsor when the North Face were revealed here today.


The North Face, an American outdoor product company specialising in outerwear, fleece, coats, shirts,footwear, and equipment such as backpacks, tents, and sleeping bags founded in 1968, is a brand Youngone Outdoor introduced to the South Korean market in 1997. 

As an official partner, Youngone Outdoor will provide a wide range of sports apparel for Games-related personnel, including Team Korea and the Pyeongchang 2018 Games' workforce.

"This partnership will greatly help promote our Games," said Kim Jin-sun, President and chief executive of Pyeongchang 2018.

"I'm confident that Youngone will join our preparation efforts and share the vision to deliver a Best Games in PyeongChang."

The deal, signed here in the presence of International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach, who was attending the final day of the Sochi 2014 debrief, followed yesterday's announcement that the KT Corporation had signed up as the first Tier One sponsor of Pyeongchang 2018.  

"We are proud to be the official partner of Pyeongchang 2018," said Sung Ki-hak, chief executive of Youngone Outdoor.

"The company is looking forward to providing the best possible services to Korean athletes with our The North Face brand."
