Sri Wahyuni Agustiani won the gold medal in the 48 kilogram class with a total lift of 186kg at the World Junior Weightlifting Championships in Kazan, while Syarah Anggraini won the bronze medal in the 53kg ckass with a total lift of 188kg.

National Olympic Committee (NOC) President Rita Subowo, who is also an Executive Board member of the Olympic Council of Asia, presented bonus money to both athletes and their coach at the ceremony in the nation's capital Jakarta.

Congratulating the athletes yesterday, she also singled out their Indonesian coach for her success.

Samsung, a sponsor of the NOC, presented the pair with a tablet device.

Both weightlifters are now gearing up for competition at the Asian Games in the South Korean city of Incheon from September 19 to October 4.

The World Junior Weightlifting Championships in the Russian city began on June 20 and end today.

Hosts Russia comfortably topped the medals table with 16 gold, five silver and eight bronze.

Indonesia won a total of six medals, including two gold, all for female weightlifters.
