All 44 games of this year's Women's Wheelchair Basketball World Championships will be available live online ©AFP/Getty ImagesAll 44 matches of this year's Women's Wheelchair Basketball World Championships in Toronto will be available to watch live online as part of the broadcast package for the largest edition of the event to date.

The matches will be available through the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's (CBC) Sports' free desktop video player and on SportCanada.TV digital platforms.

In addition, daily video highlights will also be made available and distributed to media outlets via SendtoNews.

Veteran broadcaster Rob Snoek will lead the coverage and will be joined by Tim Frick, head coach of the Canadian women's team that won three consecutive Paralympic titles at Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000, along with four successive World Championship crowns.

Marni Abbott-Peter, winner of three Paralympic golds and four world titles of her own, will also form part of the commentary team at the Mattamy Athletic Centre.

"We are looking forward to turning some heads this week when Toronto is treated to some of the top ball players in the world showcasing their supreme talents during eight days of fierce competition," said tournament director Wendy Gittens.

"So it is with great enthusiasm that we get the opportunity to team up with world-class media partners in order to deliver the experience with viewers from coast-to-coast and on every continent.

"CBC Sports is a leading member of Canada's Paralympic Media Consortium, and both SportsCanada.TV and SendtoNews are recognised leaders in sports coverage.

"All of us share a common passion for sharing the ability of sport to move people."

Twelve teams in all are due to take to the court at the Mattamy Athletic Centre across eight days of competition starting on Friday (June 20) and lasting until June 28.

The 2014 tournament will be the first time the Championships have been held separate from the men's since 1994, when the tournament took place at Stoke Mandeville.

Hosts Canada have are looking for a fifth world crown and have been drawn in Pool B alongside reigning Paralympic champions Germany, Great Britain, Brazil and Asian rivals China and Japan.

Defending champions the United States have a tough opening encounter as they go up against Paralympic silver medallists Australia in Pool A, which also contains The Netherlands, France, Mexico and Peru.
