Skaters will compete in the Pavillon de la Jeunesse from February 27 to March 1.

Around 40 teams and more than 800 skaters are expected to take to the ice at the Championships.

"Quebec has a rich synchronised skating heritage and we are elated to bring this event to Charlesbourg," said Skate Canada chief executive Dan Thompson.

"The championships will kick-off an exciting time for synchro in Canada, as Hamilton, Ontario prepares to host the world synchronised skating championships later that year.

"I hope fans in Quebec will take the opportunity to come out and see our talented teams compete for national titles and a chance to represent Canada internationally."

Teams will compete for national titles in the senior, junior, open, intermediate and novice categories.

The top two senior teams will represent Canada at the 2015 International Skating Union World Synchronised Skating Championships from April 10 to 11 in Hamilton.

Sylvie Simard, chair of Quebec Section, said: "This will be a fabulous opportunity for us to show off our first-class hosting abilities and our facilities.

"We are looking forward to welcoming the hundreds of skaters, coaches, officials, volunteers and fans that will come out to watch Canada's best synchronised skating teams."

This year's Synchronised Skating Championships were held in February in Burnaby, British Columbia.
