It follows a protest by Liberia after they lost 1-0 to The Gambia in the first leg of their first round qualifier earlier this month.

The Confederation of African Football found five players - Sampierre Mendy, Buba Sanneh, Bubacarr Trawally, Saloum Fall and Ali Sowe - were born in 1994 and so could not take part in the qualifiers.

Only players born on or after January 1,1995, can participate.

The country's disqualification means the second leg of their match against Liberia has been cancelled, and Liberia has qualified for the next round.

Senegal is due to host the 2015 African Under-20 Championship, the 20th to be held, from March 8 to 22.

The Gambia failed to qualify for the 2013 edition, which was won by Egypt after they beat Ghana on penalties at the Stade Ahmed Zabana in Oran, Algeria.
