London 2012 bronze medal winner Kayaalp needed less than two minutes to overcome Bulgaria's Lyubomir Dimitrov, executing four gut wrenches to earn a technical fall.

Olympic and World Championship bronze medallist Johan Euren of Sweden collected another bronze in the Finnish city by comfortably defeating 2012 junior world champion Balint Lam of Hungary, while Russian Vasily Parshin had too much for former European champion Aleksander Chernetski of Ukraine.

Armenian Artur Aleksanyan was another to retain his title after converting twice in par terre to claim a 5-0 win over last year's European bronze medallist Cenk Ildem of Turkey in the 98kg class.

This year's bronze medals went to Sweden's Fredrik Schon and fellow Scandinavian Marthin Hamlet Nielsen of Norway.

Bulgaria's Aleksandar Kostadinov exploded into action at the start of the 59kg final by snapping up a chest-to-chest bodylock and launching Moldovan Victor Ciobanu for two points, and followed that up with another lift and back-arching throw for a commanding 6-0 lead in the first 30 seconds.

Ciobanu attempted his own body tackle, but Kostadinov whipped the Kazan 2013 Universiade silver medallist over to complete the technical fall.

Kamran Mammadov of Azerbaijan and Russia's Ivan Kuylakov took home the bronze medals.

Russia had better luck in the 66kg final, but Adam Kurak's win over former world champion Hasan Aliyev of Azerbaijan came somewhat controversially, as Aliyev was disqualified with just three seconds left on the clock for back-pedalling away from contact after having taken the lead on a back-arching throw.

Germany's World Championship bronze medal winner Frank Staebler added European bronze to his collection with a hard fought 1-0 win over Poland's Dawid Karecinski, while Slovakia's Istvan Levai came out on top of the battle of former European champions against Revaz Lashkhi of Georgia.

The final day of action at the 2014 FILA Senior European Championships takes place tomorrow in Vantaa.
