The match has been moved to April 12 and will follow the first-leg clash between the teams, which is taking place tomorrow at the Ciudad Deportiva in Havana.

The postponement of the March 28 date followed a request from the Florida State Athletic Commission to clarify the eligibility of boxers on the home team.

Insidethegames understands an assistant coach with the US team had incorrectly informed the Florida State Athletic Commission that professional boxers had competed in the WSB on American soil, which is against the regulations of the competition.

The Commission then refused to sanction the fight until the situation had been cleared up, leading to the postponement of the match.

While the International Boxing Federation (AIBA), which oversees the WSB competition, provided the requisite assurances to the Florida governing body, Salem stepped in and offered to stage the event and a decision was made to switch venues, rather than waiting on approval from the Commission.

The second-leg match will be held at Rockingham Park and will see a senior national Cuban team fighting on American soil for the first time since the 1999 World Championships in Houston.

"We are very excited to bring World Series of Boxing to New Hampshire," said WSB chief executive Karim Bouzidi.

"USA versus Cuba is a major event worldwide, especially in America where it's never been held before under AIBA sanctioning.

"Our shows are known for their entertaining matches and finally New England will also be able to enjoy this amazing experience."

The line-ups for both sides that were due to compete in the postponed match are expected to remain unchanged with Americans Steven Fulton, Caleb Plant and Joshua Temple along with Lu Bin of China and the Dominican Republic's Carlos Adames representing the USA Knockouts.

The Cuban team are making their debut in the WSB this season and have proved a real force, topping their group and losing just six individual bouts along the way.

Their line-up for the postponed fixture consisted of London 2012 bronze medallist Yasnier Toledo along with Yosbany Veitía, Marcos Forestal, Ramon Luis and Erislandy Savon.

Meanwhile for the match in Havana tomorrow, the Cuba Domadores will be represented by Gerardo Cervantes, Lazaro Alvarez, Roniel Iglesias Sotolongo, Emilio Correa and Yoandi Toirac.

Eros Correa, Luis Martin Arcon Diaz, Gabriel Maestre, Michel Borges De Souza and Mohamed Sallah will be fighting for the USA Knockouts.
