The Adler Arena Skating Centre will stage Russia's Fed Cup match against Argentina next month ©Getty ImagesMarch 19 - Tennis will be staged next month at the Adler Arena Skating Centre, which was used for speed skating during last month's Winter Olympics, it has been announced.


Russia are due to play Argentina in the Fed Cup match on April 19 and 20 at the $32.8 million (£19.7 million/€23.5 million) long track speed skating arena.

The 8,000 capacity Arena was a sea of orange during the Olympics as Dutch skater dominated the competition.

They won 23 of the 36 medals available, including eight of the 12 gold medals.

The Arena is due to be turned into an exhibition centre in legacy mode. 

Russia, four-time winners of the Fed Cup, are fighting for their place in the World Cup after defeat against Australia in the first round last month.
