The Jordan Olympic committee, lead by President Prince Feisal Al Hussein, has ambitions to become one of the leading National Olympic Committees in the worldMarch 3 - The Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) is "empowering" its employees to better serve leading sports organisations and National Federations in a bid to boost sport in the country.

As part of its aim to become one of the world's leading National Olympic Committees, it has given JOC employees new target-driven contracts and departments have "streamlined their operations to improve accountability".

The new structure for the JOC - which has been under the Presidency of Prince Feisal Al Hussein since 2003 - has been described as "dynamic".

"The demands on the JOC are greater than ever before and this new direction will ensure that we deliver a world class service to the Kingdom's sporting family," said JOC secretary general Lana Al Jaghbeer.

The organisation wants sport to play a role in the lives of all Jordanians.

As part of the restructure, a "strict evaluation process" has been put in place to ensure departments and employees are maximising their potential.

These include the Department of Relations with National Federations; the Department of Knowledge, Training and Education and the Department of International Relations and Cooperation.
